Instructor-Led Training use of Google Classroom.

This course is designed for the Child Development Associate who needs to take an additional hour or need to renew or update their CDA status.  CDA is a nationally credentialing award; given to caregivers who demonstrate competence, knowledge, and skills in all CDA functional areas. The training format and learning expectations will focus on eight competency topics and thirteen functional areas; needed to support the nine competency statements. The themes in each unit are aligned with CDA Functional areas: Safe, Healthy, Learning Environments, Physical, Cognitive, Communication, Creative, Self, Social, Guidance, Families, Program Management, and Professionalism. The theme has required assignments, study questions, and suggestions to update the CDA portfolio. This eLearning experience, incompletion, is equivalent to 70 credit hours or CEU’s. The course is excellent for the CDA renewal, the portfolio is optional for those who are taking this course for renewal. If you are using this course to fulfill hours toward your initial CDA Preparatory Training, you are required to complete all parts of this training.
