CDA 50-hour Preparatory Part I. CDA Prep 101.1 CP-Hybrid Individualized Learning Format combines online elearning experience with Instructor-led training This training is to help the early child obtain their professional training hours. Participants who register for this hybrid course will be guided, by their instructor, to complete the 50 hours of training. The Hours: 25 hours will be online (Self-Paced) with additional mandated 25 hours, which must be completed during the instructor-led virtual or in conference sessions. The Participant must use a time sequence to arrange when to register and participate in their required conference sessions. The units in each course are embedded within each module – each module will outline how many conference sessions are needed to complete the unit. First Conference must be scheduled within the second week of registration. 

Professionalism and Responsive Caregiving. This course is designed for the Child Development Associate Candidate in their process of obtaining their first CDA credential. The CDA is a nationally recognized credential awarded to persons who demonstrate competence in caring for children. The initial CDA process requires that the candidate complete all parts of the credentialing process. This course will focus on eight credential topics and thirteen functional areas needed to support the development of nine competency statements and the creation of the candidate’s professional portfolio. The themes for the instructional session are aligned with the CDA functional areas: Safe, Healthily, Leading Environments, Physical, Cognitive, Communication, Creative, Self, Social, Guidance, Families, Program Management, and Professionalism.
